This image was the start of a lot of green images for me. I fell in love with green as a vehicle to carry an uneasy scenario. I think it is one of the best colors to establish a horror atmosphere.

While the relation between the girl and the tentacles isn't that clear, I can tell you that she knows that they are there.

Enjoy!

Hasmed

This is another one of my remade angels. Like the others, this was originally a character design I did back in college and remade a year or so later. This was one of the first to get the remake treatment.

With Hasmed, I wanted to represent 'annihilation' as a force of constant flowing energy. But rather then have it be wild and uncontrolled, I imaged an angel with this dominion to be in a controlled state of destroying and rebuilding its constantly shifting form.

Let me know what you think.

A few years ago I decided to start remaking my series of twelve angels. This is one of the most recent remakes. The concept was to create a character that physically embodied 'vengeance'. The hole in the face was part of the 'faceless' theme hat I ran throughout the whole series.

I ended up running work in progress shots through 4chan, an anonymous internet hub for funny cat pictures and animated gifs. The anonymous critiques I received from that ended up drastically improving the overall look of the image.

I always like hearing feedback So let me know what you think.

A fun little pic I did on the side in between gigs. I did it mostly as an excuse to play around with textures and compositional elements. His expression was originally one of fear, but I think some people read it more as shock or surprise.

I've had comments in the past that there is a total lack of perspective in this image, and I figure its worth noting that it was intentional. I felt like it made the piece seem more unsettled.

It marks the start of when I got serious about painting. Despite its age and obvious shortcomings, it has remained a steadfast feature in my gallery because it still represents the kind of art that I love to create.

The Grelking

I've been playing around with watercolor a bit recently and I decided to try to work up one of them up in Photoshop. I'm hoping to try to do more like this in the future.

To maintain the wet edged look of the original, I have applied some filters and texture over the digital portion of the work to keep it cohesive.

Let me know what you think!
